The Deady Group, an independent technology and growth advisory firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, today announced an expanded focus that brings technology advisory and business growth advisory under one roof, along with a rebuilt website at thedeadygroup.com. The firm works with growing and regulated organizations, primarily companies between $5 million and $30 million or more in annual revenue.
The change reflects what clients have been bringing to the firm. Technology decisions rarely arrive alone. A telecom contract review becomes a question about cybersecurity coverage. A modernization project exposes a website that cannot generate leads. A copper line retirement turns into a conversation about how customers reach the business at all. The expanded model is built for that reality: one place to start, with the firm leading the providers, specialists, and decisions that follow.
"Most leaders don't come to us with a clean problem statement. They come with a sense that something is costing them more than it should, whether that's spend, time, or growth," said William Deady, Founder of The Deady Group. "Our job is to find the real issue, bring structure to it, and put the right people on it. If we can't solve it ourselves, we know who can."
The firm's work spans six advisory areas: Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Resilience, Communications & Connectivity, AI & Automation, Spend & Vendor Management, and Growth & Digital Presence. Across all six, The Deady Group works at the strategy and orchestration layer. It defines the problem, filters the market, and brings in the specialists and providers best suited to deliver the work. Because the firm is not tied to selling or delivering any one service, it stays focused on the problem and accountable for the outcome.
The front door: the Digital Presence & Technology Review
A company's website is the front door to the business. Buyers, insurers, and search engines look before they call, and the Digital Presence & Technology Review shows leadership what they see. It is the centerpiece of the new site and where engagements with The Deady Group start. Each Review is a 21-page report prepared by hand that scores eight areas and explains what to do about each, in priority order:
Website Performance & Speed
SEO & Organic Visibility
Local Search Visibility
Brand & Media Presence
Email, Domain & DNS Security
Technology Stack & Infrastructure
AI Discoverability & Structured Data
Governance, Privacy & Accessibility
Each area is scored 1 to 5 against a published standard, such as Google's Core Web Vitals, Google and Yahoo's email sender requirements, and WCAG 2.1 AA, or against named competitors measured the same way on the same day. The Review uses public information only; no systems are accessed or tested, and every finding is labeled as observed, estimated, or directional. Behind each report are roughly 20 tools and 250 to 350 data points, combined with expert analysis. The report also includes an executive summary, why the findings matter now, the firm's perspective, and a recommended path forward. The Review is normally a $5,000 engagement. To mark the launch, the firm is offering it at no charge for a limited time, delivered within three business days of a request and with no follow-up sequence. Companies below the firm's core revenue range receive the same Review; afterward, the firm either delivers the resulting work directly or introduces a capable partner from its network.
The AI Discoverability & Structured Data section addresses a newer question for many leadership teams: whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Google AI Overviews can find, understand, and accurately describe the business when buyers ask them for recommendations. Where tracking is set up, the Review measures how often the business appears in AI-assistant answers compared with its competitors, and shows what to fix first.
Every Review closes with the company's options, including addressing the findings in-house, handing them to a current IT or web provider, working with The Deady Group, or taking no action for now. A sample report, prepared for an illustrative company, is available on the firm's website.
Visitors who want a quick look can enter their domain in the site's Front Door Grader. It checks three signals across email security, website security, and AI discoverability, returns a grade out of 100, and previews what the full Review would cover.
"Every company has a digital front door now, and most have never had it inspected," said Deady. "More and more, that first look happens in an AI answer before anyone picks up the phone. The Review covers the things that quietly shape trust, visibility, and risk. It's the same review we conduct for paying clients, and it's the first thing we'd want to see in any engagement."
A website built the way the firm advises
Deady built the firm's original 50-plus page website himself on a hosted website builder at launch in 2025. As the firm's work moved further into advisory, the platform became a limit. The new site was custom-coded and built in-house, removing the builder dependency, and was measured against the firm's own Digital Presence & Technology Review throughout the rebuild. The firm plans to publish a case study documenting the process.
The site also hosts the firm's interactive assessments, including the POTS Replacement Readiness Assessment for organizations preparing for the copper line retirement, and features the firm's recent modernization of RevereBeach.com, a Revere community site online since 1997, as a case study.
Aligned incentives, stated plainly
The Deady Group operates under its Client-First Transparency Standard, published on the new site. The Standard commits the firm to disclose how it is compensated, disclose material conflicts, and present honest alternatives, including keeping an incumbent provider or making no purchase at all.
Some engagements are billed directly, such as growth and digital presence work. In others, the firm is compensated by providers when a client makes a change. Either way, how the firm is paid is disclosed in writing before a decision is made.
